What is Clinical Pharmacy ?

Clinical Pharmacy is one of the recent branches of pharmacy, it started nearly a quarter of a century ago and produced a new generation of clinical pharmacists interested in patient-oriented services rather than traditional focusing on medicinal product to co-operate with the medical team in the care of patients in terms of optimizing medication use, health promotion and disease prevention in order to meet the health challenges and raise the efficiency of pharmaceutical care services.

What is Clinical Pharmacy ?

Clinical pharmacy department - Cairo University – was established in 2007.

The department seeks to train pharmacy students to be active members within the health system, through linking all the basic pharmaceutical and clinical sciences while direct this for the patient best.

The department consists of one assistant professor , four lecturers in addition to ten TAs Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
